Cynics accessories
Amanda Clegg
Cynics is the edgy androgynous accessories label that rejects the conventional. Our design direction is quality, quirky and unusual show stopping pieces. The result is limited edition, cheeky accessories for everyone. Inspired by cynicism, celebrities and creative impulses, we turn our unique internally inspired ideas into wearable adornments.
The concept for Cynics was devised in 2007, seeking to innovate the accessories industry by offering products which are strong statement pieces with subtle underlying messages. Cynics collections have focused on pop art inspired silk scarves, and the fashion forward fun; zip-it jewellery range. The zip-it collection is the ever evolving popular assortment of bracelets and necklaces in various metals, colours, lengths with matching zip pulley earrings for all.
RAFW 2010 see’s the release of the ‘life in chains’ line that adorns the body not the neck and the hand not the wrist. The latest light bulb for the label are the hardware of nut and bolt pieces, transformed into fashion ware on your cuff and unrecognisably so around the neck.
Cynics accessories captures timeless idealism in graphic prints and metals, breathing life into the characters that fuel human obsessions. Tones of cynicism present themselves draped from necks and dangling from ears, making playful and profound statements.
We are CYNICS.
